This has to be the most cynical Nostalgic Critic has ever been, this review is NITPICK OVERLOAD, the problem he have aren’t big problems and can be easily defensible or don’t matter, usually when he’s reviewing a good we all like he’s at least funny but I laughed very few times and the rest of the time he’s just being a asshole for no reason. So in my opinion this the worst Nostalgia Critic review ever

I can say this as a confidently heterosexual man:There's nothing unrealistic or out of place about Mystique becoming spontaneously horny for Hugh Jackman. It makes perfect sense.

I feel like we're all a little horny for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

That's because any sane man would be spontaneously horny back for the blue bombshell

How can you claim that Pyro's change in allegiance isn't justified? Pyro clearly shows hostility towards humans in the opening scene at the museum and when he literally tells the police to fear him before he attacks them at Iceman's house. He's following along and keeping his head down while he's at the school, but he clearly doesn't agree with Xavier's ideology. So when Magneto tells him that he's a god and that his mutant identity is more important than his human identity, he finally feels validated ...

"Xavier couldn't have lifted the plane from the inside?"Doug, Xavier can't even move his legs with his powers, why the hell would he be able to move a jet?

Also Professor X is not telekinetic and never exhibited TK in the films.

Doug you love X-Men! Why would you think Xavier has telekinesis??? I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

To answer other questions, yes Magneto can control all metal. No Prof. X doesn't have TK. And Critic only knows the cartoons, not the comics, which is why he's such a Marvel dick rider... he doesn't even have a problem with Spider-Man killing, meanwhile Man of Steel is almost a perfect adaptation of Superman Earth One. NC does not know comics, he just wants the geek "street cred" so he can spread his fallacy's.

@Andrew Howland Or you know, Fox didn't have the rights to use Miss/Captain Marvel... the one Rogue got the permanent powers from.

"this is the only way" 1) ice man is nowhere near that powerful yet2) Storm has atmospheric /temperature control, not water control 3) Xavier doesn't have telekinesis

this is the only way is not about the plane. it is about the phoenix force which she can't control. She wanted to leave anyway. She knew if you pay attention to the scenes with the rocket, and the part she almost destroyed the dam when she fought cyclops.

During the scene where Magneto escapes his prison my son (9) said that "Magneto is cool!".All I could reply was: "Yes. Yes he is."

Kurington Kuriton Magneto is my favourite X Men character tied with Wolverine. Hell with it if you asked me which X Men character I would be, I would say that “I Prefer Magneto”

Doug, I thought you knew comics. Rogue can fly because she absorbed Ms Marvel (of all characters) powers! You can stop picking that bone now, it's getting old.

  • Andrew Howland

Yes but since the films are their own universe they could have given her the extra powers she's most well known for.

I know that it's something popular to harp on with these movies but Flight, Super Strength, Super durability were never part of Rogue's original power set and were stolen from the person that didn't have her own movie until this year.

  • Cassy Black

@Andrew Howland I think it's probably a combination of factors, including the time period it was made, the fact that it was a movie and so relegating time to explaining how a teenager girl also got all these different powers besides her one mutation, and the fact that it would have made her pretty much unstoppable in the cinematic universe at that time would mean she would have been pointless to include in the plot they wanted otherwise. But yeah, as Evolution Rogue proves, you don't really need to hav...

Every version of Rogue has had those powers from the start of her character though, and then it gets reveled later where she got them from. At this point they've become synonymous with Rogue so not giving them to her is odd. The only one I can remember that didn't have them from the start was Evolution: Rogue and that premiered years after this.
