  • Using my link, you can get an extra 25% off your first order and a free 30-day trial to Thrive Market: days of going vegan is in the books and I have to say this one was a bit more difficult than keto for me as it took me out of my comfort zone. This Vegan 30 day challenge certainly surprised me in several ways and at the end of the day, I think it is a reasonable diet to follow as long as it's planned adequately. If you have an idea of something you want me to cover in depth, please let me know because I take your requests seriously. We will be back with more Doctor Reacts Series & Responding to Comments so please submit more names of shows/episodes & questions you'd like for me to watch. I am not a doctor but I think your bloating and gas problem was because of too much fiber, this is a very common problem among beginner vegans.

@Princess007 Bioavailability of the nutrients is the most important thing. Look into lectins, oxalates, and goitrogens. Vegetables/legumes are not like fruit. The highly genetically modified and cultured versions of them that we have today still have remnants of natural defense mechanisms that used to prevent them from being eaten. There was an evolutionary incentive for them to dissuade herbivores from eating them. Fruit have seeds that we spread, vegetables/legumes do not. This is why beans give many...

Whole foods are nutrient dense, but not necessarily calorie dense so I find it best to eat little and often. I prep healthy snacks every evening to take into work to stop me gorging on expensive health bars which have a lot of natural sugars. If you’re going whole foods vegan, if you have weight to lose you’ll lose it, if you have weight to gain, you’ll gain it. If you’re over-eating carbs (especially refined carbs), eating junk foods or over doing it on healthy fats then you won’t lose weight. It’s a...

Flowered Sentiments Oatmeal or avocado toasts for breakfast, rice and vegies for either lunch and dinner, protein sources were mostly tofu and fake meats, beans. Rarely eat desserts, chips, and salsa. No sugary drinks. Fake meat burgers maybe 2x a month only. Always cooked vegies are my food. It gets boring so I don't have that much appetite and I get so full right away.

I literally laughed at Dr. Mike struggling with being able to talk about his gas. He talks about all kinds of stuff but gas is tripping him up.

Chris S it’s funny because I talk about gas and poop all day long with my patients. I guess online it’s different lol
