Burnout is always a problem with everything you do. The main thing to avoid it is to pay attention to yourself and whenever you start getting close to take a short break and reset. I've been working 14 hours per day for the last 3 months and I'm not getting close to burning out yet, mainly because I see the results of my effort.

I love how he talks about longevity > clout, which is actually relevant today, where I'm binging on his old videos. They are timeless.

If you read between the lines (i.e., perform a subtextual analysis) of Casey's episodes over the past year, you can see the end is near. He's no longer enchanted or motivated by vlogging on a set schedule the way he once was, and the emotional payoff of a video gone viral no longer provides him with the same massive hit of dopamine that it once did.
That certainly is understandable, as our hero has earned the right to a full, richly textured life with his family. The Neistats now have enough money and resources that they will never want for anything.
But it also means the end of an era, and with it the need for us to find new sources of creative inspiration and sometimes mind-blowing entertainment. C'est la vie.

Amount of work you put in isn't worth the return you get? Sounds like these people need to go back to working an average Joe job.. because.......

Youtube is changing, you’ve achieved a goal, your family is growing, you’re growing older, you’re interest are changing....time to move on to a new adventure. Hopefully it will be interesting and maybe you will share. If you choose not share on YouTube, that’s cool too. Enjoy your new life in California,....lots of family all together in a 10 mile radius.
